Broken wings suck, just ask Nyxie. A local shop owner found her out the front of his bakery a few months ago - she had hit the window the previous night. Thankfully she was not alight when he found her. Seeing she couldn't fly, the shop owner called the local wildcare agency and asked for someone to come and get her. The Sanctuary for Impossible things monitors all wildcare calls so that we can intercede in cases like this; hearing her description ("flame coloured bird with... wait I think it's glowing"), we sent an agent down to collect her before any ordinary wildcarers could come.

Thankfully, the break in Nyxie's wing turned out to be mild and she is now able to fly almost perfectly. Due to the intensive care required to heal her, however, she is now accustomed to humans and is refusing to leave the Sanctuary. We would release her into the Sanctuary Reserves, but there is a flock of Midnight Melodies that have been causing some trouble and I am doubtful that she would survive an encounter.

Nyxie's new owner will receive her and a personal, hand drawn Sanctuary for Impossible Things card with information about her and her care - this card may also be used to contact her keepers for assistance or if they wish to adopt another little critter.

All items are hand crafted and unique. I never repeat a design, nor use pre-made patterns, casts or molds - each on is original and completely hand made.

This creature is fully poseable from body to limbs. The eyes are glass and the irises are handcrafted - they are designed to appear realistic yet mystical, and are able to follow you around the room. Spectacular natural golden feathers attatched to premium faux fur make up the plumage of this little phoenix! The face and feet are made from paper magiclay (an under-appreciated material that is very light and oddly flexible) and the wings and tail are made from gold-laced wyandotte rooster feathers* which were rigorously cleaned and trimmed. The feet are able to be posed and can clutch objects. Work is stamped with my signature.

*no animals were harmed for the purpose of or in the making of this art doll.

... or at least that is how this creature will be disguising itself so people don't get suspicious.
